Listen, I am a SUCKER for a good cupcake, and boy, was this place it! They had a ton of flavor options, gluten-free options, dog treats, brownies, and more! They were so moist, and we loved it so much we went twice while we were here! My dog absolutely loved their dog treats, and they are all natural as well. The staff was so friendly, and I want to say she was the owner, was an absolute sweetheart! Will be coming back every trip to Charleston that we make!

This place has the Charleston Sweet Charm. I like to go on our way to the aquarium for a special kid treat. They also have delicious coffee. We love their cookies and cupcakes! It is so quaint and sweet. They are so thoughtful, they have a great selection of candles for birthday cakes. The staff are knowledgeable and take humble pride in their work. I have been here a few times and always enjoy the experience. We will be back and I recommend you give them a try.

WOW… love this small cute bakery on a side street of downtown Charleston!!! I did a Google search and found Sugar Bakery had very good reviews.. I had a custom mini wedding cake made for my son’s weddings in Kiawah Island. I ordered a confetti cake with strawberry jam filling with white frosting & I decorated the rest with a figurine & flowers. The cake was absolutely delicious! We also bought a dozen cupcakes , trying seasonal flavors, classics , and a few gluten free. They did not disappoint , the lavender was probably a favorite! Next time I visit Charleston I will be sure to go back !

Every year when we come to Charleston to get out of the cold and snow in New England, getting a cake (sometimes cakes) from Sugar Bakery is definitely on our list of things we must do. The cakes are not only tasty, but they are beautiful. Truly works of art. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a yummy treat. ❤️

Amazing cupcakes! My favorites were the strawberry & lemon. The young lady that waited on us was friendly and also provided some information about what to see in area. Small place but definitely worth your stop!

We absolutely loved Sugar Bakeshop! The cupcakes literally melted in your mouth and were some of the most delicious cupcakes we’ve ever had. The cookies were huge, fresh, and absolutely amazing too. You can tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients. If you’re in Charleston, this sweet little bakery is definitely worth stopping by!

I had been to Sugar over 10 years ago and was excited to go back during my recent trip and it absolutely lived up to my memory. The treats were great across the board. They have a fantastic chocolate chip cookie, and the cranberry walnut cupcake was outstanding, I especially loved the filling. The coconut cupcake was also delicious. I can’t wait to go back again!

Cute little bakery I stopped into while visiting. It is a “blink and you miss it” kind of place, in fact I walked by it whilst looking for it! I decided on an m&m cookie and a double chocolate cookie. They are huge! Like 6” cookies! They are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, they have good sweet flavor. I tend to like my cookies a bit saltier, but they taste good. They have lots of different goodies, bar cookies, cupcakes, cake, mini pound cake, but I landed on these since they looked the most portable.

Street parking only, and it's residential so takes a bit of planning, but otherwise this is a wonderful bake shop. The cupcakes are divine, such wonderful and unique flavors (strawberry mint?! Superb). A four inch cake will easily feed 6 to 8 people, unless they eat huge portions. It's more than it seems. They use a frosting made with real butter and it is absolutely wonderful. Needs to be room temp or it's hard to cut, but my favorite is simple chocolate on chocolate. Yum, yum, yum. Happy birthday to me! ♥️
